Mommy Turned 29 and Daddy Turned 28

Yep, that is right we celebrated our birthday's this week. I had a game on both of our birthdays so we didn't celebrate too much!! We really just hung out and enjoyed all the blessings we have gotten this year and look forward to what this year has instore for us. We had wonderful birthdays being with Nora!

Dogsitting

We watched my cousin's dog, Gary, for a week. It was so fun to see Nora and Gary interact. They both LOVED each other. They had to take turns in the 'window seat' since they both enjoy looking out the window! Nora was crawling over Gary and he turned around to get mad but then saw it was her and just licked her face! It was so cute.

1st Fair

Will Nora be a 4-H'er? I was...went to the state fair in "Fashion Review", also entered the county fair one year with an entomology project!!!!

We went to my parents' house this weekend and ventured to the Lac qui Parle County Fair. The county fair is much more manageable than the state fair! We went and saw the 4-H building....Matt now knows that the 4 H's are Head, Heart, Hands, & Health. We had hobo tacos which is a taco on this amazing flatbread. Matt ate corndogs and a milkshake.....pretty much our diets went out the window! We got to hang out with all the cousins and had a really good time. The weather was beautiful, finally after 3 days of rain.

Labor Day Weekend

Friday Night: Tonight when Matt got home from work we just relaxed. It was so nice to just 'be'. Nora was also a sweet subject to photograph tonight. She has had a little bit of a diaper rash so we let her hang out naked to 'air dry'. She was loving looking out the window and crawling around Au natural.

I love looking out the window.....so what if I am nude!

Saturday: Oil changes for both our cars at 8am. EARLY! I sewed all day and Matt went to a bachelor party (twins game, drinks downtown) I also went out for appetizers with some neighbors and their kids.

Monday: Relaxing day, and lunch at Erbert & Gerberts. Matt was NOT impressed with the sandwich, oh well for trying a new place to eat!

We're Famous....

I got an interesting call tonight from my brother in law, Kyle. He said "Go to google and search "twins gear" So I did. Then he said click on Images. I did. AND man was I surprised to find what I found. If you go and do the same thing.....you will find a sweet picture of Nora and Matt (I accidentally named it Matt & Daddy!) How did it get there? How cool is that?!

Nora 9 months Old

Nora is 9 months old. Wow, how time flies. I know I say that every month but it really is true. It is hard to remember what she looked like or acted like 9 months ago, I have to go back to pictures and read blog posts to know how sleep deprived and how dark her hair was. She has turned into quite the little lady at her mature age of 9 months old. She is such a sweetheart and loves her daddy. She loves walking around furniture and she LOVES stuffed animals, especially Jimminy Cricket and her lovey! She loves playing her caterpillar piano/xylophone (Uncle Brandon is so happy about this one.....someone who loves piano as much as he does!!)

When we went to the doctor she got a flu shot and only squacked a little bit!!

So as you can tell she is getting less tall and more husky with a smaller head!!!! She loves eating big people food and only wants food she can pick up herself. She also is a mover and a shaker, does NOT want to stay still for very long so pictures are getting interesting. Here are a few of her 9 months old.

First Volleyball Win

I had my 2nd 9th grade volleyball game yesterday. It was our first away game and it was against Apple Valley. My team played AWESOME. They played as a team, didn't miss a serve in the 2nd match, and had fun. I was very proud.

My fabulous husband bought me purple flowers(Chaska's colors are purple & gold) today to celebrate my win. What a great guy.

Nora Standing...

Nora has mastered, well almost mastered, the art of pulling herself up and standing. She can stand really well holding on with just one hand. She also is awesome at walking around things, she loves pulling herself up on our living room coffee table and then walking around the perimeter of the table. She is also pretty fast crawling around. She has just found out that crawling is MUCH faster than walking so she doesn't even attempt to walk when we hold her hands out to walk places---she holds up her feet so her butt ends up touching the ground!

I think very soon she will be walking and running around and we won't be able to keep up with her. Man how time flies!
