Nora loves putting on my shoes and trying to walk around the house. Here she is wearing some HEELS! She did better in them than me. I wore them to baptism and one of them fall off on the steps as I walked up the stage---oops!

Nora's Birthday Party
We celebrated Jackson's Baptism and Nora's Birthday after church at my parents house. Nora's birthday party theme was 'ELMO'. My mom made a cake, because sleep deprived me FORGOT A CAKE!!!! My mom made it yesterday and Nora said 'Elmo' right away so it was a great rendition of Elmo!! I cannot believe Nora is going to be 2. She is really starting to enjoy opening presents so it was fun to see her open all the presents for her birthday.

Jackson's Baptism
We had Jackson's baptism today at my parents church in Dawson. We had Nora baptized here as well so it was nice to be able to do both kids. Pastor Erik is such a great guy so I am glad he was able to baptize both our kids. Jackson wore his grandpa Steve's baptismal gown-he barely fit! In true Jackson fashion....he pooped while we were on stage! My brother sang the same song, Come to Jesus by Chris Rice, as he sang for Nora's baptism--I love the song and the words to the song!!

Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving was at my parents house this year. We had a busy busy weekend. |
My parents- thankful for all 9 grandchildren. Charlie, Lincoln, JT, Reese, Sullivan, Kate, Landrey, Nora and Jackson |

Papa Lee worked too hard so he and Jackson took a nap together--love this photo! |
I watched all the little kids so my siblings and parents could go to 'Courageous' and Matt brought the big kids to a kids movie. I would so recommend the movie Courageous, it is such a great movie about parenting and what is IMPORTANT in life. The little kids and I watched a veggie tales movie and went to bed, no fussing! except for Jackson |

Make Your Own Baby Food
sweet potatoes, corn, and peas |
Honestly....I would recommend making your own baby food. Some may say "I don't have any time", "It takes too much work" but really it doesn't. I loved making it for Nora and now am making it for Jackson. All you have to do is cook the veggies/fruit and then puree it. I got a small food processor and just make one veggie and blend away while another veggie is cooking. I put them all into dollar store ice cube trays until they are frozen and then popped them into freezer bags in the freezer. All I have to do now is pull out a few cubes at a time and heat them up in microwave. Look how pretty the 'real food' looks. When you buy baby food, it is so processed it doesn't have these VIBRANT colors. So easy..honestly!

Olafson Christmas
Olafson Christmas time is here! Headed to St. Cloud to have our annual get together with my mom's side of the family. It is always so much fun to see everyone. Matt and I were a bit worried with the whole Jackson situation since he isn't sleeping through the night, but he actually did better in a pack n play at the hotel than he has at our house! Saturday night is the night where fun happens and Matt and I went to put the kids to bed at 9:30 or so and we BOTH fell asleep while waiting for them to fall asleep---sleep deprived? I think so! We had a blast hanging out with everyone. My brother Brandon even put together a family feud game where the 5 siblings battled against the grandchildren. It was such a fun time.
Poor Nora, she is so not going to like these photos when she gets older, but the girl LOVES being nude!! |
We had to rent a crib from the hotel since we now have 2 'babies' that sleep in cribs and we only have 1 pack n play! Nora didn't mind TOO MUCH! |
My cousin Kelly who is ready to have baby....any minute!!! |
My cousin Tori with Jackson.....He loved her and she didn't mind that he spit up ALL over her!! |
