Nora's 2

Nora is 2.  How did the time just fly by and my little baby girl is a toddler who has a personality and can talk and tell me stories?!  Nora still loves fruit and food in general.  She also has acquired a sweet tooth like her mommy-sorry Nora!  She still loves her sleep and takes a good nap!  She says 'dank u' for thank you.  She is a little artist and loves coloring and using markers.  She loves these markers at daycare that our like bingo blotters.  She still says 'mup' for up and she calls Jackson "jackie"  She likes watching veggie tales and says 'what happened' because they asked that question in one of the dvds.  She also sings Madame Blueberrys song 'I'm so Blu uuuuuuu, I don't know what to do"  She says 'yeah' instead of 'uh huh!'

Her hair is getting so long and I keep trying to grow out her bangs, little by little.  Her eyes are still brilliant blue and she has cheeks!  I think she still looks very much like her daddy but there are pictures and days where I can see a little 'me' in her!  She will say 'hand' and she wants to hold your hand.  She says a word that sounds like 'nine' and we don't know what she is saying - some of our guesses "mine", 'naughty" or she is really smart and knows german and is saying "NO"  Nora is starting to get afraid of strangers and gets bashful and shy around people she hasn't seen for a while.  She is VERY clingy to mommy and daddy. 

For Nora's 2nd birthday we went to the chaska community pool and swam, she LOVES the pool.  We put a candle in every meal she had that day so she thought it was cool to blow it out.

Nora's Birthday Party

We celebrated Jackson's Baptism and Nora's Birthday after church at my parents house.  Nora's birthday party theme was 'ELMO'.  My mom made a cake, because sleep deprived me FORGOT A CAKE!!!!  My mom made it yesterday and Nora said 'Elmo' right away so it was a great rendition of Elmo!!  I cannot believe Nora is going to be 2.  She is really starting to enjoy opening presents so it was fun to see her open all the presents for her birthday.

Lac qui Parle County Fair

We went to my hometown county fair and Nora enjoyed all the OPEN space.  We walked around and saw all the animals, exotic animals, craft projects and FOOD.  They seriously have the BEST hobo taco I've ever eaten.  When I was younger I couldn't wait until the county fair to have a hobo taco.  Last year my hobo taco fell on the ground when I was trying to help Nora so this year, I made sure we were AT a table and there was no chance of my beloved hobo taco falling on the ground.  All ended up in my belly-not that I needed ALL that hobo taco in my belly, but oh well! County fair rocked and we didn't pay an arm and a leg for it!

Nora, will you be a flower girl?

Matt's sister Katie is getting married May 12th, 2012.  We are so excited for her and her future husband, Adam.  They came over today and had a cupcake with a big flower on it for Nora and asked her to be their flowergirl.  I don't know if she said 'yes' officially but she did eat their cupcake so I guess that means she'll do it!  We will need to start practicing walking down the aisle now so she is 'on her game' come next May.

Chaska Touch a Truck

What a great event.  We had so much fun at the Chaska Touch a Truck event.  Different clubs in the city sponsor 'booths' and then you get free food, free ice cream, free prizes at the games, free memories!!!

Nora ate ice cream as her dinner, she threw a volleyball through the hula hoop at the Chaska HS Volleyball booth, she sat in a police car (hopefully the ONLY TIME!), she got a fireman's hat, she ran around and tuckered herself out.  Jackson....SLEPT!
