Nora's Already Hitchin' Rides

Our neighbor boy came over to bring Nora a little gift for her birthday and he saw her new bike!  She was happy to share her bike but wanted to get on the back and hitch a ride!

Meeting Mable Plum

We went over to my cousins house to meet her little lady Mable Plum.  Nora loves babies!  Mable is such a good baby and is so adorable.  

It looks like Mable is crying, but I think she was really just yawning!

Nora's 2

Nora is 2.  How did the time just fly by and my little baby girl is a toddler who has a personality and can talk and tell me stories?!  Nora still loves fruit and food in general.  She also has acquired a sweet tooth like her mommy-sorry Nora!  She still loves her sleep and takes a good nap!  She says 'dank u' for thank you.  She is a little artist and loves coloring and using markers.  She loves these markers at daycare that our like bingo blotters.  She still says 'mup' for up and she calls Jackson "jackie"  She likes watching veggie tales and says 'what happened' because they asked that question in one of the dvds.  She also sings Madame Blueberrys song 'I'm so Blu uuuuuuu, I don't know what to do"  She says 'yeah' instead of 'uh huh!'

Her hair is getting so long and I keep trying to grow out her bangs, little by little.  Her eyes are still brilliant blue and she has cheeks!  I think she still looks very much like her daddy but there are pictures and days where I can see a little 'me' in her!  She will say 'hand' and she wants to hold your hand.  She says a word that sounds like 'nine' and we don't know what she is saying - some of our guesses "mine", 'naughty" or she is really smart and knows german and is saying "NO"  Nora is starting to get afraid of strangers and gets bashful and shy around people she hasn't seen for a while.  She is VERY clingy to mommy and daddy. 

For Nora's 2nd birthday we went to the chaska community pool and swam, she LOVES the pool.  We put a candle in every meal she had that day so she thought it was cool to blow it out.

Christmas has hit the Forslund House

Christmas is now 'up' at the Forslund house.  We have a hand-me-down tree from my parents and it is HUGE so with 2 kids under 2 and all their STUFF and a house that isn't BIG, we decided to put up our tiny 3 foot tree instead.  Nora enjoyed helping mommy put the ornaments on the tree, and then enjoyed taking them all off the tree.  I ended up having to tie a ribbon from the tree to the bookshelf to keep the tree from falling over because she was always pulling at it  She liked looking and touching the lights.  I can't wait to have more space to decorate more for all the holidays.

Nora loves putting on my shoes and trying to walk around the house.  Here she is wearing some HEELS!  She did better in them than me.  I wore them to baptism and one of them fall off on the steps as I walked up the stage---oops!

Jackson is now sitting up unsupported and crawling SLOWLY!  He is loving just sitting there looking like a big boy.  Watch out Nora he is going to be on the move soon.

Nora's Birthday Party

We celebrated Jackson's Baptism and Nora's Birthday after church at my parents house.  Nora's birthday party theme was 'ELMO'.  My mom made a cake, because sleep deprived me FORGOT A CAKE!!!!  My mom made it yesterday and Nora said 'Elmo' right away so it was a great rendition of Elmo!!  I cannot believe Nora is going to be 2.  She is really starting to enjoy opening presents so it was fun to see her open all the presents for her birthday.

Jackson's Baptism

We had Jackson's baptism today at my parents church in Dawson.  We had Nora baptized here as well so it was nice to be able to do both kids.  Pastor Erik is such a great guy so I am glad he was able to baptize both our kids.  Jackson wore his grandpa Steve's baptismal gown-he barely fit!  In true Jackson fashion....he pooped while we were on stage!  My brother sang the same song, Come to Jesus by Chris Rice, as he sang for Nora's baptism--I love the song and the words to the song!!
